The name “Girisadan” is deeply personal, derived from the Sanskrit words “Giri” (mountain) and “Sadan” (home). It’s a nod to my mother’s name, Giri, and my father’s childhood home, Sadan. Our family’s history is intertwined with India’s struggle for independence, and our name serves as a reminder of our heritage.
Growing up, my grandmother, a devoted Gandhian, instilled in us the values of simplicity, truth, and selflessness. My father, born in 1947, was named Satyendra, meaning “the truth.” His childhood home, Sadan, became a symbol of warmth, love, and hospitality – values that we strive to uphold in every aspect of our boutique stay.
